News from Naples Herald:
Elmsford, New York-based Party City celebrated the grand opening of its second Naples location on Friday.
The party supply chain, with over 900 stores nationwide, will employ 20 people full-time.
“We wanted to provide the community another conveniently located store where Party City shoppers can go year-round to find party goods for all things celebrated,” said Erin Owens, a representative for the company.
Party City’s opening comes at a time when many Southwest Florida businesses are starting to ramp up hiring ahead of the winter tourist season. On Wednesday, Naples-based Culinary Concepts held a job fair to fill 140 openings in its five restaurants, including three in Naples. Platinum Dry Cleaners announced a job fair of its own for Tuesday, hiring in several positions.
In addition to the opening day staff, Owens said the company is looking to fill temporary positions ahead of Halloween, a busy time for one of the nation’s top costume sellers. They expect to double their staff for the Halloween season.
“Opening before Halloween is an opportune time for us as we’re anxiously gearing our store up for the holiday season,” Owens said.
